A comparison table for open-source and LeRobot-compatible robot hardware — the kind of page you wish existed before you ordered servos.

What is listed

Arms, leader arms, mobile bases, mobile manipulators, humanoids, hands, grippers and teleoperation devices that an individual or a small lab can realistically build or buy. Priority goes to hardware with public design files, then to commercial hardware that has a working LeRobot integration. Currently 69 entries.

Where the numbers come from

• Price, DOF, motors, availability — entered by hand from the project's README, bill of materials or the vendor's page. Prices are single-unit, USD, rough, and drift; treat them as a bracket.
• LeRobot support — Official means the robot lives in the main LeRobot repository; Plugin means a pip-installable lerobot_robot_* / lerobot_teleoperator_* package; Fork means it works through a modified LeRobot.
• Stars, forks, last push — from the GitHub API, refreshed weekly.
• HF datasets — an approximate count of datasets on the Hugging Face Hub tagged LeRobot whose id mentions the robot's name. It under-counts robots people don't name in their dataset ids and over-counts common words.
• Docs quality — the editor's 1–5 rating of how easy the build guide is to follow. Subjective, and says nothing about the hardware itself.

Corrections and additions

Every entry starts as a draft until a second person has checked it. If a price is stale, a DOF count is wrong or a vendor is missing, open an issue or a pull request on the data repository — each entry is one YAML file. Want your hardware listed? See the submit page.
